Types of Trees

We hope you enjoy the photos of some of our decorated trees. If you rented a tree from us, and would like to share a photo of the tree in it's holiday finery, we would love to include it in our tree gallery next year.

Deodar Cedar

The Deodar Cedar has beautiful blue green needles, and while they are a little prickly, it has a pleasant delicate scent. It has well spaced branches for your decorations, making it a lovely Christmas tree in you home. Should you choose to keep and plant the tree it will add a graceful touch to your landscape. This tree is especially well adapted to the climate of central California, and once established it does not need to be watered.

Aleppo Pine

The Aleppo Pine has been carefully trimmed to a conical Christmas tree shape. The needles of this fragrant pine are darker green, and slightly longer, than our Stone Pine. Like the Stone Pine it is also a hardy pine tree coming originally from the Mediterranean and is ideal for our central California climate needing no summer watering once it is established.

The Aleppo Pine is available in two sizes and is measured from the ground up, which includes the pot. The price includes delivery and pickup.

Italian Stone Pine

The Stone Pine has been carefully trimmed to a conical Christmas tree shape. The young growth is soft and fragrant and will retain its needles well. Should you decide to keep this tree and plant it you will have made an excellent choice as it will grow up to look much like our native Monterey pines but is much hardier. We have two sizes available this year.

The Stone Pine is measured from the ground up which includes the pot. The price includes delivery and pickup.

California Coastal Redwood

The Redwood is the most fragrant of our Christmas trees and is treasured for its wonderful aroma. Our redwoods have been carefully trimmed to create a full conical shape, and will decorate beautifully with small ornaments. If you choose to keep it, your redwood tree will thrive in our central California climate, except where it is exposed to direct wind and spray from the ocean.

The redwood tree is available in one size and is measured from the ground up which includes the pot. The price includes delivery and pickup.

Colorado Spruce & Colorado Blue Spruce

We have just a few spruce trees available this year as we are experimenting to see how they acclimatize here. They have done very well, and they are truly a stunning natural Christmas tree. Our spruce trees range from light green to almost silver blue in color.

Alberta Dwarf Spruce

The Alberta Dwarf Spruce is an extremely compact and slow growing tree and grows naturally to a cone shape. It makes a beautiful addition in your garden or patio as well as in your home, decorated as a Christmas tree.

Thuja Cypress

The Thuja has been carefully shaped into a cone to be used as a Christmas tree. It has beautiful dark green foliage and is very fragrant. The Thuja is a member of the Cypress family and is desirable in your landscape as a hedge or screening plant. Should you choose to keep and plant the tree you will find that is especially well adapted to our central California climate and, once established, it does not need to be watered.

Noble Fir – Frazieri

The Noble Fir is the beautiful “traditional” European Christmas tree. While at home in the mountain regions it has performed very well and we are offering about 100 of these trees this year.
